About Us

ProjectTech4Dev aims to be a high performing tech enabler for non-profits. At Project Tech4Dev, we provide solutions ranging from providing open source platforms to NGOs to building tech capacity in non-profits. We equip non-profits with the technology they need to amplify their impact. Our open source platforms include- Glific, Development Data Platform, and Avni. Responsibilities

1. Develop and scale technology platforms using state-of-the-art approaches in AI, ML, and LLMs.
2. Collaborate with other engineers to build robust and efficient systems.
3. Contribute to system design and architecture decisions in consultation with senior engineers.
4. Design, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms, with a focus on Generative AI and NLP applications.
5. Analyze and preprocess large datasets to build, fine-tune, and evaluate models.
6. Run experiments to assess model performance, robustness, and equity—particularly in low-resource or Global South contexts.
7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align AI efforts with partner and program goals.
8. Contribute to delivering projects by writing clean, maintainable code and meeting timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

1. 5–7 years of professional experience in software development, data science, or machine learning.
2. Strong hands-on experience working with Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
3. Experience in building and deploying machine learning or NLP models in real-world or production settings.
4. Exposure to LLMs and the open-source AI ecosystem (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases).
5. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies

1. Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning, especially in NLP and Generative AI.
2. Strong coding and debugging skills in Python.
3. Comfortable collaborating in agile, cross-functional environments.
4. Ability to document, test, and troubleshoot your code effectively.
5. Growth mindset and interest in using technology to solve real-world, social impact challenges.

Work Location and Travel

We are a remote-first organization. Team members can be based anywhere in India. Occasional travel (2–4 times a year) for team offsites or field visits may be required.

Compensation

1. The expected compensation range for this role is ₹14–23 LPA, depending on experience, skill level, and motivation to work in the social sector.
