We seek a Product Manager for Kaapi, to drive the evolution of the platform by blending product strategy, user-centered design, and market positioning. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about marrying technology to social impact by ensuring that our products grow and evolve to serve the data needs of the social sector. 


Our ideal candidate is one part engineer, one part user research and one part product person.

Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to Product Strategy & Roadmap
  2. Drive product strategy and roadmap based on perspectives gained from product marketing, positioning, user-research and feedback. Where required, conceive of product features and create the relevant product requirement documents.
  3. Conduct user research with nonprofit partners to understand data management challenges, workflows, and unmet needs.
  4. Conduct usability testing and iterate on product design based on feedback, ensuring intuitive user experiences for both technical and non-technical users.
  5. Own the roadmap for core platform services by gathering user requirements and defining clear, actionable user stories for features.
  6. Collaborate with the engineering team to drive execution of product features and roadmap.
  7. Mentor and guide junior product managers or associates, fostering growth and alignment with Tech4Dev’s values.


  1. Lead Product Positioning
  2. Develop and execute strategies to position Kaapi as the leading AI/LLM platform for nonprofits, aligning messaging with sector-specific pain points and opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with the Tech4Dev Comms and Marketing team to create marketing collateral, data best practices, case studies, and demos that highlight Kaapi’s value proposition for diverse NGO use cases.
  4. Analyze market trends and competitor platforms to refine Kaapi’s unique selling points and ensure differentiation.
  5. Help organise online and offline events to generate new leads and build the Kaapi community within the nonprofit sector. This may include collaborating with other teams in Tech4Dev in the case of cross-team events like sprints or conferences.
  6. Influence go-to-market strategy and nonprofit sector partnerships to drive adoption and long-term sustainability.


  1. Assist with NGO relationships
  2. Act as the main interface with our NGO Partners: build trustful relationships, scope collaborations and uncover pain points.
  3. Translate these pain points into new product ideas and features for Kaapi and our other platforms. Define and incorporate this into the product roadmap.
  4. Iterate Kaapi marketing and positioning to optimise sales and onboarding cycle
  5. Build strong relationships across the ecosystem by coordinating with both our NGO partners and other ecosystem providers.
  6. Define and execute structured NGO engagement and retention strategies, ensuring long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  1. 7+ years of total experience spanning product management and product design, preferably for SaaS software products
  2. Proven track record of shipping products end-to-end and driving significant user adoption, ideally in B2B. Track record of taking ownership and driving projects to successful outcomes
  3. Experience and awareness of the latest in the AI/LLM field and innovations happening in that space. 
  4. Expertise in user research, data analysis, translating feedback into product improvements
  5. Experience or eagerness to work in the non-profit sector and understand the unique challenges organisations in this sector face with respect to tech adoption
  6. Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders


Location:

  1. Remote
  2. Required travel every quarter for a week for Project Tech4dev team meeting. 
  3. Occasional (once or twice a quarter) travel to partner NGOs for research, training and business development.
