Glific is a WhatsApp based open-source communication platform, which powers WhatsApp chatbots for NGOs across India, reaching beneficiaries at scale where they already are. We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to own features and their outcomes end-to-end — and to help lead Glific from where it is today to a more AI-forward platform.
This is a hands-on Product Management role. You won't just write specs and hand them off; you'll pull the data yourself, prototype the idea using AI, sit with the engineers and design, and stand in front of a room of NGOs to execute the GTM and gain feedback. You'll own the KPIs for your features and contribute to the metrics that define platform health overall. If you're energized by turning a messy problem into a shipped, measurable, adopted feature — and by doing it in service of organizations creating real social impact — this is for you.
Responsibilities
- Own product features end-to-end, from discovery and PRDs to launch, adoption, and iteration.
- Define, track, and improve product KPIs using analytics, experiments, and user insights.
- Shape the product roadmap through customer research, consulting, usage data, and business priorities.
- Partner closely with engineering to write clear requirements, make technical trade-offs, and ensure successful execution.
- Analyze data independently using SQL/BigQuery and translate insights into product decisions.
- Prototype and validate new ideas, including AI-powered capabilities, before full-scale development.
- Drive the AI product vision by identifying, evaluating, and delivering practical, responsible AI features.
- Design intuitive user experiences through prototyping, usability testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with NGOs to understand needs, define solutions, and deliver impactful implementations.
- Enable NGO success through product consulting, onboarding, best practices, and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years total experience, including 5 years in SaaS product management
- Proven track record of shipping software products end-to-end and owning outcomes — strategizing, planning, executing, and being measured on the results.
- Hands-on technical ability to work with database queries, dashboards and data analysis; able to follow front-end and back-end technical discussions and make informed trade-offs.
- Data-driven mindset: experience defining KPIs, instrumenting features, and using product analytics to drive decisions.
- AI fluency: working understanding of modern AI/LLM capabilities and limitations, and a point of view on where they add value in a product.
- Design ability: can wireframe and prototype using AI, and has a strong sense for UX.
- Experience in user research and translating feedback into product improvements.
- Facilitation and communication: excellent communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and comfortable presenting, teaching, and facilitating sessions.
- Ability to maintain customer relationships and provide empathetic, patient product support.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in the social sector or with mission-driven organizations.
- Experience working on chatbots / conversational products / Glific.
- Familiarity with open-source products and their communities.
- Comfort building quick prototypes or writing light code to validate ideas.
Work Location and Travel
Remote. You'll travel each quarter for a one-week team sprint at a destination decided by the team — a chance for the team to work together and connect in person. Additional travel may be required as per project needs (NGO field visits, team meetings, hackathons, and events).
Compensation
The expected compensation range for this role is ₹27–32 LPA, depending on experience, skill level, and motivation to work in the social sector.
